LA provocateur builds a wall around Trump's Hollywood star

Speaking to artnet, Jesus explained that while other artists have focused on " personal attacks " against the Republican presidential nominee, "I think really what we should be focused on is attacking ridiculous policies that will damage the United States".

Featuring barbed wire, keep out signs (written in both Spanish and English) and American flags, it would be surprising to nearly no one if Trump had commissioned the wall himself.

Donald Trump was formally nominated as Republican candidate for the U.S. presidency, and the Los Angeles street artist known as Plastic Jesus chose to produce an artwork to mark the event.

According to USA Today, though, the Donald Trump Walk of Fame wall isn't the first time that Plastic Jesus has criticized the Republican Presidential candidate.

The addition to Trump's star is, of course, a jab at the politician's contentious promise to erect a wall that "Mexico will pay for" on the southern border of the US, supposedly halting the flow of illegal immigrants into the country. The tiny wall was gone by Wednesday morning.

The artist is known for posting "No Trump Anytime" signs on street corners.

The miniature wall was adorned with "STOP MAKING STUPID PEOPLE FAMOUS" which is one of Plastic Jesus' signature piece. He makes photos of much of his work - including the photos of the Donald Trump Walk of Fame wall - free for use on blogs such as this one, but he makes clear that his photos are not to be sold or reprinted for commercial gain for another. "Often questioning the norms in society Plastic Jesus confronts our compliance of culture and current affairs".
