Dominka Cibulkova upsets Angelique Kerber to win WTA Finals title

Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova pulled off a stunning upset to defeat Germany's Angelique Kerber and win the WTA Finals on Sunday, beating the newly crowned World No. 1 6-3, 6-4.

Cibulkova was frequently the aggressor, winding up her forehand to devastating effect as she stormed into a 3-0 lead. The Slovakian ended a remarkable season by Kerber, who won two Grand Slam trophies and reached the final of a third.
