Skoal, Copenhagen products recalled due to metal found in cans

So far, the complaints were received in Texas, Indiana, North Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Ohio.

The U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company has voluntarily recalled dozens of Copenhagen, Husky, and Skoal chewing tobacco, according to a release from Altria. Consumers have called the manufacturers and alerted them of the foreign objects that they found. Fortunately, none of the eight consumers who complained were injured by the metal fragments.

The agency said all the recalled products were produced at U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company's facility in Franklin Park, Illinois, the Associated Press reported.

None of the complaints included reports of injuries, Altria says in a statement. "We also are working closely with federal authorities to investigate".
