Billboard Music Awards: Céline Dion gives 'Titanic' performance

Reflecting on the tone of her second studio album, "Places", Lea said: "I've really embraced my sound with this record and my roots of being a theatrical performer and my influences of Barbra Streisand and Céline Dion".

Dion was center stage surrounded by an ornate chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

Dion, 49, flaunted a floor-length, figure-hugging, white gown with a v-plunge neckline and accentuated shoulder detail to the awards gala on May 21.

But today, Dion's emotive version of "My Heart Will Go On" on a program of mostly shrill, pitch-challenged performances feels stabilizing.

Dion sang the soulful number while scenes from the Oscar-winning film featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet played in the background. Seriously, it gave us goosebumps too!

"Tonight we honor the 20th Anniversary of Titanic ❤️ with a performance of #MyHeartWillGoOn by @celinedion".

Tell us, HollywoodLifers - what did YOU think of Celine's performance of "My Heart Will Go On?".

After finishing her performance, the singer - who weathered the deaths of both her husband and brother early previous year - mouthed "thank you's" and soaked in the crowd's applause for close to a minute. So, I just stood there and she looked at me and she goes, 'You look lovely, ' and then of course I was like, 'I'm the biggest fan, ' and we shook hands.

She totally nailed it!
