Strong, swift UN reaction to Trump on climate

The Kremlin said the climate deal will be less effective without its key participants.

Globally, renewable power is surging, with sustained investment transforming the world's energy system.

While not mentioning the U.S.by name, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying tells reporters climate change is a "global challenge" that no country can ignore.

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang says fighting climate change is a "global consensus" and an "international responsibility".

The president has also been known to change his mind on major decisions at the last minute.

According to the European Commission's Berlin office, Juncker told an audience in the German capital: "I am a trans-Atlanticist". The Paris accord was negotiated by President Barack Obama in 2015.

"We are concerned but we (have) made a decision to implement. and we will join forces with other parties, especially with China, to develop further cooperation on climate and energy", Canete said in an interview during a trip to Denmark.
