Apple unveils an Amazon Echo competitor

The Amazon Echo and Google Home are two of the most popular speakers available on the market right now.

Apple has joined the market for voice-activated home speakers, previewing at its annual developers conference a 7-inch device powered by its virtual assistant software Siri. Yep, similarly to Apple Music and News the App Store is going big on curation so that it'll be easier than ever to find apps that you'll use a few times. Tapping Apple‚à "ôs Siri digital assistant, such a speaker is expected to serve as a butler as well as an outlet for listening to music".

Apple has presently only shown off its cylindrical, mesh-covered smart speaker on stage at WWDC, it is not quite ready to make its way into the home of Pro-Apple (most likely) consumers as of yet.

Like the $179 Amazon Echo and $109 Google Home devices, Apple's new HomePod can be controlled with verbal commands using Apple's familiar Siri voice recognition system.

Apple says its Safari browser will try to guard your privacy by identifying and blocking data files that track you as you move from website to website. The prominent features of the speaker include multi-channel echo cancellation, real-time acoustic modeling, and others.

Now Apple has announced the unveiling of their HomePod, a wireless speaker for the home that delivers audio and uses spatial awareness to sense its location in a room and automatically adjust the audio. Apple also claims that the speaker's microphone array is strong enough to be able to pick up what a user is saying from across the room even when loud music is playing.

Since the launch of Amazon's Echo past year and Google Home in March, both of which have been popular with consumers, Apple had been widely expected to enter the market. Users might also seek song recommendations from Siri so that the assistant can begin creating a better library on the HomePod.

The speaker employs the same A8 chip used in the iPone 6 and 6 Plus, the iPad mini 4 and Apple TV.

Apple new product that is much expected by its followers is the HomePod.

Apple's Siri assistant will be integrated into the $349 speaker, and can make music recommendations that pair with the company's Apple Music service, send text messages, check news and sports scores and control compatible home gadgets like lightbulbs and thermostats.
