Andy Murray fit and hopes to have last laugh against Alexander Bublik

Murray was knocked out at Queen's in the first round by world number 90 Jordan Thompson. I understand it if it was somebody finishing their career. "They're playing "strange", like hitting the ball hard, most of them". "Why not? I hope it's five sets, not in three".

Murray and Soares, who also won in Stuttgart earlier this month, beat France's Julien Benneteau and Edouard Roger-Vasselin 6-2 6-3 to claim their sixth tour title together on Monday. "I do find it stressful but I think it helps me concentrate better, play better", he added.

"We will speak differently if he wins the first three matches".

He looks sure to take his place in Monday's opening Centre Court match at 1pm although, not for the first time, judging exactly how he is feeling is proving an inexact science.

The defending champion pulled out of a planned warm-up match at London's Hurlingham Club due to a hip problem this week.

'I'm just focusing on myself at the moment and trying to prepare as best I can, ' said Murray.

Bublik, who was born in Russian Federation but changed his national allegiance after being offered support by Kazakhstan, interviewed Murray in Indian Wells earlier this year as part of a promotion for this year's inaugural Next Gen Finals in Milan, which will bring together eight of the world's most talented youngsters.

'I'm not sure many people are going to bet on him these two weeks, ' said Mouratoglou.

"It is nerve-racking, I get very nervous and I feel the pressure before Wimbledon every year", he told Sky Sports News. "I'd be happy to say if it was because it would also give me an excuse for why I maybe haven't played my best this year".

That defeat prompted his inclusion at the Hurlingham event, although his final means of preparation before the main draw at SW19 will come just 72 hours before his maiden tussle.
