G20: Trump urges Mexico to finance wall

For the first time since becoming president in January, Trump met Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, whose foreign minister Luis Videgaray said he expected talks on renegotiating NAFTA to start on August 16., the earliest possible date.

He made the comment as he headed into his first official meeting with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, who in January cancelled a visit to Washington over Trump's insistence that Mexico pay for the wall.

"We're negotiating NAFTA and some other things with Mexico and we'll see how it all turns out, but I think that we've made very good progress", President Trump told reporters at the G20 summit.

The move came after at least a year of efforts by the United States military to improve relations with its Mexican counterpart and support eradication efforts.
