Trump Replaces His Chief of Staff

He is a Great American. and a Great Leader.

President Donald Trump has appointed General John Kelly as his new White House chief of staff in place of Reince Priebus.

His exit appeared inevitable when Trump did not intervene as his new communications director Anthony Scaramucci publicly described Priebus as a "paranoid schizophrenic" in a foul-mouthed tirade that also saw him savage another top Trump aide.

Trump tweeted that retired Gen. John Kelly, Trump's secretary of homeland security, would take over as chief of staff, calling him a "true star of my Administration".

According to the report, during a meeting in the Oval Office, US President was distracted by a fly which continued to buzz.

Sean Spicer, former press secretary, resigned reportedly after giving the President an ultimatum over Anthony Scaramucci's hiring.

He added, "I would like to thank Reince Priebus for his service and dedication to his country".

"John has done a spectacular job at Homeland Security".

A Marine, Kelly served in the military for almost five decades and served in positions including chief of Southern Command and senior assistant to the secretary of defence, CNN reported.

"Anytime either one of us think that we need to make a change or move in a different direction, let's just talk about it and get it done", he said of his relationship with the President. "Someone came and said, 'Pat wants to see you.' I left my briefcase on the bus".

"I'm not Steve Bannon, I'm not trying to suck my own c**k", he's said to have told Lizza.

And, Priebus handled his firing with a huge amount of class and dignity, casting himself as (still) a giant fan of Trump and refusing to respond to Scaramucci's attacks on him.

Kelly, meanwhile, said he is "honored to be asked to serve as the chief of staff" to the president.

That sale, of Scaramucci's SkyBridge Capital to China's HNA Group, has not closed and apparently remains under regulatory scrutiny (both of which had been given as conditions for Scaramucci's taking up employment in the White House), with some critics arguing the Chinese company may have lodged an overly rich bid for Scaramucci's firm in hopes of currying favor with a White House insider.

Priebus was tapped for the post at the urging of top congressional Republicans - including House Speaker Paul Ryan, a fellow Wisconsinite - who advised Trump that he needed a Washington insider to help him shepherd his legislative agenda. "I think he was right to hit the reset button". "As for John Kelly, I know he's going to be great". So it's not surprising that of that triumvirate, this is the general he's putting in the White House. It is still not clear if Mr Trump has any plan to reconcile the differing views of moderate and conservative Republicans on the issue - which, with its huge implications for spending, really needs to be resolved before the intertwined issues of tax reform, the budget and the towering deficit are addressed. The backstory here is that Scaramucci had been eyeing a position in the White House, we understand, for the last six months.

Kelly was confirmed with bipartisan support by the Senate, 88-11, on Inauguration Day. I'll get to the person who leaked that to you.
