GoDaddy bans Neo-Nazi site for derogatory article on Charlottesville victim

Daily Stormer the controversial white supremacist website must find a new domain provider after it was given the boot by GoDaddy.

The decision comes several months after GoDaddy were advised by the US's Southern Poverty Law Center that it should remove The Daily Stormer from its domain saying it is "dedicated to spreading anti-Semitism, neo-Nazism, and white nationalism".

Original report: Web hosting company GoDaddy is booting the Daily Stormer, a neo-Nazi website, over an inflammatory post about the woman killed in the deadly auto attack on people protesting a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Web hosting provider GoDaddy has withdrwan services to a far right website which published an article criticising a woman who died during protests in the United States this weekend. The post was titled "Heather Heyer: Woman Killed in Road Rage Incident was a Fat, Childless 32-Year-Old Slut". The sites also use a GoDaddy-affiliated privacy service called Domains by Proxy, which stops the public from discovering contact information associated with a domain name.

Web hosting service GoDaddy will cut off access to white nationalist website The Daily Stormer.

The post appeared on the website of the Daily Stormer, founded and edited by pro-Trump activist Andrew Anglin, who had earlier posted an article criticizing Heather Heyer who was killed during a far-right march in Charlottesville during the weekend.

A auto reportedly driven by James Alex Fields Jr. ran over a crowd protesting the "Unite the Right" rally during the incident, for which Fields was charged with murder.

The hits keep coming for The Daily Stormer.

Since the announcement, a blog post has appeared on the Daily Stormer, claiming the site has been hacked by Anonymous. However, Anonymous have stated that they believe the post was made by The Daily Stormer in a "stunt" created to "woo their clueless base".

"We are cancelling Daily Stormer's registration with Google Domains for violating our terms of service", a Google spokesperson confirmed to RT America via email Monday. The message read: "This site is now under the control of Anonymous".

"We have no confirmation that "Anonymous" is involved yet", writes @YourAnonNews.
