Taylor Swift tops Adele with new YouTube record

Taylor Swift's diamond bath in the video for "Look What You Made Me Do" was filled with real jewels worth more than $10 million, it has been reported.

The new track had its official premiere at the MTV VMAs in Los Angeles and features her darker side leaving her former self behind her. Described by commentators as a revenge anthem, that targets everyone from Katy Perry and Calvin Harris to Tom Hiddleston and Kanye West, and more.

The 27-year-old is then seen dressed as a biker, a celebrity crashing their sports auto, a bank robber wearing a kitty mask and a dominatrix.

Taylor also made a dig at her long-term rival Katy - who she fell out with over backing dancers a few years ago - as she donned a short blonde wig, similar to the singer's current hairstyle, and crashed her auto as photographers looked on.

The long-anticipated single came following a social media blackout and a series of cryptic videos of a snake.

The British actor was photographed wearing a similar vest a year ago when the couple were going out.

An insider told Page Six on Tuesday that the diamonds Taylor Swift casually bathed in cost around $10million (approx £7.7million), and were provided by jeweller-to-the-stars Neil Lane.

It's after fans compared their videos.

Of course, everyone behind the scenes - from lighting crew to directors - knew that she was recording and filming the song and video for "LWYMMD" respectively. "There she goes playing the victim again", while another added: "I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative".

Taylor Swift knows the value of someone who can keep a secret.

Swift's album reputation, her first since 2014's release 1989, is set for release on 10 November.
