Pakistani shells left three injured in Arnia

Two women were among three persons injured as Pakistan Rangers indiscriminately fired mortars in the Arnia sector of Jammu district on Sunday. She was among the six civilians who were injured, and had been admitted to a government hospital. "Indian troops initiated an unprovoked Cease Fire Violation (CFV) using mortars and automatics targeting the innocent civil population along the working boundary in Phuklian sector".

They said that a bullet hit Bahadur on the left side of his abdomen and succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital.

Both sides accused each other of ceasefire violations earlier in the week.

To substantiate his point, he had recalled 2014 when Pakistani Rangers had been resorting to heavy Shelling along the worldwide border in Jammu region and it had to stop firing following strong retaliation by BSF troops.

"Retaliatory fire by BSF killed 2 Pak soldiers", it further said.

"Heavy firing exchanges are going on in the area", a source said.

The 32-year-old officer had a place with Vidya Bhawan Naraypur town in Uttar Pradesh's Balia locale. Authorities are keeping vigilant with emergency services to meet any eventuality due to the unprovoked ceasefire violation by Pakistan. Through Aug. 1, there have been 285 such violations by the Pakistan army, while in 2016, there were significantly fewer - 228 for the entire year, according to Indian Army figures.

According to news agency ANI, 3 civilians have been injured in the ceasefire violation.
