Pogba's hamstring injury is 'long-term', admits Mourinho

Jose Mourinho has demanded more consistency from his Manchester United side, despite the Red Devils cruising to another 4-0 Premier League victory on Saturday.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Mourinho said: "He's injured, he cannot play tomorrow and it's not an injury that I can have the hope I have with (Antonio) Valencia or (Phil) Jones".

Mourinho, who denies wrongdoing, has been summoned to Pozuelo de Alarcon in Madrid at 10:00 local time (09:00 GMT) on that date, which will come as United prepare for their November 5 trip to Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

"With them, I have the hope to see them training and to have a positive answer [on their availability soon]". Long-term injuries I don't speak about them.

Ibrahimovic scored 28 goals for Manchester United before suffering a knee injury in April.

Mourinho also confirmed Marcus Rojo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are also lon-term injury absentees.

Instead, he spoke about the importance of mental preparation for weekend games such as Saturday's match against struggling Crystal Palace.

Mourinho has also praised the early-season form of winger Ashley Young, who has emerged as a solid option at left-back for the United manager.

However, a recent report from the Telegraph has claimed that the Frenchman may not be ready to return until after the November worldwide break.

"He's a very important player for me, much more important than what you can imagine", said Mourinho recently.
