BlackBerry Motion leak shows off the full-touch smartphone

BlackBerry has recently collaborated with the Chinese tech firm TCL and thus the BlackBerry Motion will be designed and manufactured by TCL.

Rumors are that the phone would have virtual keys and water resistance capabilities. The BlackBerry Motion will house a giant 4000mAh battery for 26 hours of continuous backup.

TCL has opted against the current trend of bezel-less smartphones to stick with a more old-fashioned design.

The rendered image posted by Evan Blass also indicates that the forthcoming BlackBerry Motion handset will flaunt a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port for charging at the bottom. The smartphone is rumored to run on Qualcomm 625, like all government employees from Xiaomi, and it'll have a battery capacity of 4000 mAh, 64 GB of internal memory and a housing with protection against water according to IP67 standard.

Rumours also suggest that the smartphone will have a home button with a fingerprint scanner - a feature that appears to be confirmed in Mr Blass' photo. On the display front, the handset is expected to be full HD. François Mahieu, Head of Global Sales for TCL, told Engadget that the phone would be sturdy enough to fearless all types of weather conditions, and would encourage users to ditch brands like iPhone and Galaxy.

IF THE NEW FLAGSHIPS out of Apple and Google have failed to impress you, there's, er, a new BlackBerry smartphone on its way.

We now have an clear quality press render of what was widely believed as the BlackBerry Krypton. Since the Android Oreo is already released, the device might come with the Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. There is no rumoured date for the launch of the BlackBerry Motion. This means BlackBerry Motion will not feature the QWERTY keyboard that was seen on BlackBerry's last devices- BlackBerry KEYnote and KEYone. The BlackBerry KEYone was launched with a single camera at the back and it looks like the Canadian company is not yet ready to jump aboard the dual-camera setup train. No word about the price so far, but we sincerely hope it will be competitive enough to actually sell more than just a few thousand units. Other than that, there's not much else known about its specs.
