Florida teen wanted in connection with grandmother's death captured at Canadian border

Police in Jacksonville, Fla., say a 15-year-old boy wanted for questioning in the death of his grandmother has been taken into custody.

Deputies said they have obtained video evidence of a person they believe to be Logan, along with the stolen vehicle, in South Central Pennsylvania Thursday around 1:15 p.m.

A teen in florida who is suspected of killing his grandmother has been pinned at the border while attempting to flee to Canada through the customs of Buffalo, in the State of NY.

A Florida teenager whom police want to question in connection with the suspected death of his grandmother was detained Friday by USA agents near the border with Canada, officials said.

Neptune Beach Police alongside the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office confirmed Friday that remains were found buried on the Seagate Avenue property and believed to be Kristina French. 'No matter what, Logan is our child and we love him...

In a statement released to ABC News and other outlets after Logan's capture, his mother remained as optimistic as might be thought possible.

Person of interest and grandmother.

Police had been looking for the boy, his grandmother and her Dodge since Wednesday when the youth's father returned from a trip and said he found guns missing from a safe that had been broken into.

A judge had already issued an arrest warrant for auto theft by then, though Logan was still described as only a person of interest in his grandmother's death. The sheriff " s office tweeted Friday that Mott was considered a person of interest in French's death and should be "armed and unsafe".

"He turned around on the bridge and came back", Bowker said, adding that it's not uncommon for people to do that, often because they've made a wrong turn.

Logan's mother told via the Florida Times-Union she last spoke to her son Sunday, with the mother saying he seemed to her to be in a good mood.

"Logan has so many friends and family that are desperate to hear from him", she said. Campbell-Mott claimed that her son had issues adjusting to a new school but she felt the problems were "normal teenage moments". A big thank you to everyone for sharing and helping us get #LoganMott detained quickly.
