MSNBC trolls Trump with video montage of Obama saying 'Merry Christmas'

The theme for this year is "Time-Honored Traditions", and included in that is a lovely nativity scene.

"The decorations are up!"

"The video showed over a dozen occasions of the Obamas publicly sharing such wishes, which came shortly after Trump pledged that the USA will celebrate "'merry Christmas' again".

During his campaign, Trump had promised that, when he was elected, people would be saying "Merry Christmas again", a reference to what he characterized as the country's obsession with political correctness. It is set near the White house.

The decor includes 71 wreaths, 53 Christmas trees, more than 18,000 lights, more than 12,000 ornaments, more than 3,100 yards (about 2,800 meters) of ribbon and more than 1,000 feet (300 meters) of Garland, the White House said. LifeSiteNews.com reports that there are also cookies, bows, candles, and other reminders of the holiday season.

Based on how upset Donald Trump got when it was revealed just how sparsely attended his presidential inauguration was compared to that of Barack Obama, he'll probably be ultra-angry when he discovers these tweets from Thursday.

"Now as the president of the United States, it's my tremendous honour to finally wish America and the world a very Merry Christmas", Trump said, as the audience cheered.

The first lady's theme is "Time-Honored Traditions", a nod to 200 years of holiday celebrations at the executive mansion. "We will send a White House reporting team to the event and report on it if news warrants". According to trump, the phrase "Happy holidays" negates the Christian essence of Christmas. Fifty-six Lego gingerbread houses, one for each state and USA territory, were nestled in the branches of the trees that decorated the State Dining Room.
