Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan's death not suspicious

O'Riordan was in England to collaborate with a Los Angeles metal band on a cover of the Cranberries song Zombie. However, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said that police were called to a Park Lane hotel where a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

No cause of death has been revealed, but police are not treating the death as suspicious, according to The Guardian.

Although O'Riordan was known for being a hard-rocker who toured frequently, battled mental illness behind closed doors.

Vext said the band hopes to "still make [O'Riordan] proud" by releasing its version of the song this year.

O'Riordan was born Sept 6, 1971, and grew up in the Ballybricken area of County Limerick. A month ago O'Riordan told fans she was "feeling good" after the band canceled their planned fall 2017 tour due to the singer's ongoing recovery from back issues.
