Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Welcome Surrogate Baby Girl (Week in Review)

Kim Kardashian announced on Friday that her third child with Kanye West is named after West's hometown.

A couple of days after the birth, they told the world that they had named the tot Chicago.

Kim is keen to make sure people are pronouncing the name correctly.

She said that her daughter was born at 12:47 a.m.at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

The social media activity came as it was reported that Kim and Kanye are enjoying being at home and bonding with their new baby. "We're so in love".

She added that her daughter North and son Saint, who she carried herself, are "especially thrilled to welcome their baby sister".

Kim shared the name of her third child on her app and website.

Kim confirmed she was pregnant on her show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

She retweeted a post that read: "To everyone who thinks it's literally pronounced as CHI. No".

Should Kim and Kanye have paid their surrogate more?

While Kim didn't explain why she chose the name, it is known that her rapper-husband was raised in Chicago.

In a 2015 interview with Q Magazine, he said: 'If I had never moved to L.A. she'd be alive.

And in September it was revealed that the surrogate is a "married African-American college graduate with two children of her own".
