At least 75 injured as blast rocks central Kabul near embassies & govt buildings At least 75 people have been injured by an explosion in a central district of Kabul, close to where several embassies and government buildings are located, local media report citing health officials.

In a message on Twitter, the group said more than 50 wounded had been brought in to that hospital alone.

Public healthy ministry spokesperson Mohammad Ismayeel Kawosi confirmed the numbers, the channel reported.

The terror attack has so far killed 63 people and left over 150 others injured. "It was really huge - all our windows are broken", said Hassina Safi, a member of the High Peace Council, which is charged with negotiating with the Taliban.

The Interior Ministry says a suicide vehicle bomb attack in Kabul has left dozens wounded.

The force of the blast shook windows of buildings at least two kilometres (more than a mile) away and shattered windows within hundreds of metres of the site. The overwhelmed medical staff were seen struggling to treat bloodied men, women and children who were lying in corridors. Civilians near the blast site walked through debris-covered streets carrying wounded people on their backs even as ambulances loaded several bodies at a time to ferry them to the nearest medical facilities around the city. He said he didn't know yet if any of their members are wounded or killed.

India on Saturday strongly condemned the "barbaric and dastardly" terrorist attack in Kabul on the same day.

This is the third major explosion this month.

Last Saturday, six Taliban militants attacked the Intercontinental Hotel, leaving 22 people dead, including 14 foreigners.
