George W. Bush says 'pretty clear' Russia meddled in 2016 US election

Speaking at a summit in Abu Dhabi, the first sitting US president to visit the UAE in 2008, Bush had plenty to say. He was speaking at a conference in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

While Bush said he didn't know whether Russian meddling actually affected the outcome of the election, he was still troubled by the damage that such meddling can do to American democracy.

"It's problematic that a foreign nation is involved in our election system".

The report did not elaborate whom in Russia Bush was accusing of interfering in the U.S. The report added that Bush was not naming Trump in his comments. "The reason he does this is because he is upset by the fall of the Soviet Union". That is why most of his actions aim at the return of Soviet hegemony.

Bush in 2008 became the first sitting United States president to visit the UAE.

Putin, said, "The press is constantly, looking for weakness", said the former president.

"There are people willing to do jobs that Americans won't do", he said.

"The president should wear the exhausted Bush critiques as a badge of honor", Ingraham said.

"Americans don't want to pick cotton at 105 degrees [Fahrenheit], but there are people who want [to] put food on their family's tables and are willing to do that".

Bush acknowledged that he tried to overhaul America's "broken" immigration system, but failed.

Bush, a Republican, said as quoted by the daily that Putin "can't think, 'How can we both win?' He only thinks, 'How do I win, you lose?'" The nonprofit was founded by philanthropist Michael Milken known as the "junk bond king". Forbes magazine estimates Milken, 71, is now worth some $3.6 billion.
