Tom Brady releases final episode in documentary series, 'Tom vs

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was a guest on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Monday night, and the show tweeted a preview of the appearance that has Brady quenching his thirst in a different way than you'd normally see from the health-conscious quarterback - slamming a beer in tandem with the host.

The "Tom vs Time" series has been documenting the legendary QB's life off the field this season, and the final episode also gave us some interesting insights into his thoughts on losing his third Super Bowl.

Brady and the team were coy about the injury in the week leading up to the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with the quarterback wearing big gloves on both hands and refusing to talk about the injury.

Brady, who will turn 41 before the start of the new NFL season, also elaborated on the challenges of balancing football and family as he gets older. "Time" touched on the injury and included a still photo of the gash No. 12 suffered in practice. That's in line with what Brady's former teammate Ross Tucker said last summer on the Dan Patrick Show. "I know you're going to cheer so loud". And it speaks to, you know, growing up.

Brady, clearly, needed stitches and pins put in his hand to fix the issue. He went on to light up the Eagles for 505 yards in a tough loss at Super Bowl LII. You've got to have answers to those questions, and they have to be with a lot of conviction.

AFC Championship Game comeback: "One of the great wins I think we've ever had". Despite saying just moments earlier he "rarely" drinks beer - alcohol should be consumed in "minimal amounts", according to the TB12 method - the five-time Super Bowl champion downed his brew in impressive fashion. "Three kids, and you're always trying to juggle for them", Brady said. "And then again, that game is so hard to win because you're going against the other best team in the league".

When Tom Brady finally calls it quits, football won't be the only factor.
