Severe storms possible Sunday night

A late-morning to afternoon arrival in the Suwannee Valley could mean a re-generation of some of the strength of the storms.

A storm system Wednesday will bring a chance for a little morning snow with a change to rain in the afternoon and high temperatures will be near 40 degrees. All modes of severe weather will be possible, including the threat of potentially strong and long track tornadoes. Strong winds, tornadoes, and heavy rain are our greatest concerns.

Another cold front will arrive Friday, but it does look capable much rain across the area.

Scattered showers and storms will be possible overnight as our next front slides through. The Eastern Shore will be cooler with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. Quick warm up as we head into next week.

Warmer weather will return to the south plains and the rolling plains on Monday and Tuesday with highs climbing back into the upper 80s.

Once the front moves through the area, skies will clear and temperatures will drop down into the 40s by Monday morning. Visibility restrictions are not expected, but a smokey smell may continue for part of the day with highs in the 60s. Don't put that winter coat away just yet! There is a slight chance for storms Thursday evening along the Texas/New Mexico state line. The wind will decrease to 5-10 miles per hour overnight.

On Sunday morning, the Storm Prediction Center elevated the threat to "enhanced" for most of SC, which means the threat of numerous widespread severe storms are possible as a strong cold front moves in. Heavy rainfall will also be a threat.

Plenty of sun, breezy and MUCH COOLER.

Monday looks like a cool and sunny April day.
