National Basketball Association wrap: LeBron James helps Cavs even series

LeBron James crystalized his reputation as one of the best playoff performers in National Basketball Association history Wednesday as the Cleveland Cavaliers rebounded from a Game 1 rout with a 100-97 win over the Indiana Pacers.

Aside from Harden (44 points, eight assists) and Clint Capela (24 points, 12 rebounds), there is great room for improvement from Game 1 across the board for the Rockets.

"I just felt in a good rhythm and tried to stay in that zone as long as I could", said James.

James was disappointed with his team's defence in the waning moments, especially when in guard Victor Oladipo got free for a golden three-point chance that would have tied the score with 27 seconds left.

Darren Collison knocked down back-to-back shots to make it a one-possession game and after a George Hill offensive foul the Pacers had a chance to tie.

"I have a clean appearance, I took and that I missed, &rdquo". If it can take care of business at home, James and the three-time defending Eastern Conference champion will get an early exit from the 2018 playoffs.

The Pacers have an understandable level of confidence with their series with the Cavs tied 1-1 and home court now shifting to IN for the next 2 games.

Still, there are adjustments to be made heading into Game 3. "Especially after the way we started in Game 1". "Really set the tone for us in that first half, taking two charges, I think, on Oladipo was big for us".

Derrick Favors had career playoff bests of 20 points and 16 rebounds for the Jazz, and Ricky Rubio had 22 points, nine assists and seven rebounds in the first playoff win of his seven-year career.

"I was made aware through some friends and through some texts that a question was asked to me postgame and a lot of people feel like I was blindsided".

LeBron's Game Score of 40.9 in Game 2 was his highest since November 3 (which, coincidentally, was the highest Game Score of his career), when he dropped 57 points on the Wizards with 11 rebounds and 7 assists.

"We know what coach Pop has meant to us, and we just want to offer our condolences for his loss", Snyder said.

So did the two new additions to the starting lineup, Kyle Korver and J.R. Smith, who both played well.

The Pacers' bench outscored the Cavaliers' bench 25-16 in Game 2. Mitchell will need to be close to 100 percent for the Jazz to keep up with the Thunder and have a shot to steal Game 2.

Korver scored 12 points on 4-for-8 shooting, with all of his attempts coming on 3-pointers.
