John McCain reportedly doesn't want Donald Trump at his funeral

Trump's long-running feud with McCain has roots in the early days of the 2016 presidential race.

He rebukes the President for praising worldwide "tyrants", discrediting the media, ignoring human rights and demeaning refugees.

McCain called his prognosis "very poor" in a September interview with "60 Minutes", echoing that message to National Public Radio last week while reading an excerpt from his upcoming memoir, "The Restless Wave: Good Times, Just Causes, Great Fights and Other Appreciations". John McCain, who is battling brain cancer at his home near Sedona, Ariz., is doing well and "reflecting" on his life, said Ben Domenech, his son-in-law and a conservative pundit.

John McCain was born August 29, 1936 at the air force base of the USA "Koko Solo". First lady Melania Trump attended the service instead, along with former Presidents George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and former first lady Hillary Clinton. Edward Kennedy, at age 77 in 2009, and former Vice President Joe Biden's son Beau at 46 in 2015.

There is no love loss for Donald Trump when it comes to McCain, who has made this quite clear in the past.

He recalls that his advisers warned him that picking a vice-presidential candidate who caucused with Democrats and supported abortion rights would divide Republicans and doom his chances.

Many members of the American electorate, regardless of political affiliation or demographic, have long respected McCain, which dates back to his sacrifices in Vietnam. His daughter, Meghan McCain, has filled the nation in on her dad from time to time, when on "Fox News" or with the ladies on the daytime talk show, "The View". Look, this is a awful disease, and we appreciate all of the support by a lot of different folks who have come out and met with him over the past couple of weeks.

In closing the recording, McCain said he wants to go to the valley and see the creek run after the rain and hear the cottonwoods whisper in the wind.

"I'm not sure what to make of President Trump's convictions", he writes.

McCain thinks politicians need to be more humble.

Late in the evening, McCain writes, he was summoned to the Senate cloakroom to take a call from Ducey.

McCain framed the problem as a bipartisan one. And he writes at length about the thought process and emotional struggle that led to his vote against his own party's signature legislation in 2017, the repeal of Obamacare. McCain did not return. "But I don't have a complaint. I made a small place for myself in the story of America and the history of my times".
