Donald Trump Mocks The #MeToo Movement And Social Media Slams Back!

Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), whom he has repeatedly referred to as "Pocahontas" for years, Trump mocked the "Me Too generation" when he suggested that, should Warren win the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020 and be on stage with Trump during a debate, he would throw a genetic testing kit at her as a way to challenge her past claim of Native American heritage.

Montana, a purple state that elects both Republicans and Democrats to statewide offices, strongly supported Trump in the 2016 election, leading both candidates to compete for Trump supporters. "We will say, 'I will give you a million dollars to your favorite charity, paid for by Trump, if you take the test and it shows you're an Indian'".

Trump then disparaged the Me Too movement - raising some eyebrows, but drawing laughter from the friendly audience. She has been calling for his impeachment for more than a year.

Warren shot back on Twitter. "They don't want to use that word, because it gets the Republicans out to vote. 'Pocahontas, ' they always want me to apologize for saying it", Trump said. He adds that journalists questioning his readiness "don't say that".

'A vote for Jon tester is a vote for Chuck Schumer Nancy Pelosi and the new leader of the Democrat Party, Maxine Waters, ' said Trump.

His barbs against the media came on a day when newsrooms across the USA held a moment of silence in remembrance of five Maryland newspaper staffers who were fatally shot last week by a man who authorities say held a grudge against the publication.

"Tester doesn't share your values", Mr. Trump said. The president blasted the incumbent Democrat for voting against tax cuts and torpedoing his nominee to run the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The White House said after its own review in April there is no evidence Jackson "wrecked" a vehicle after drinking at a going-away party for a retiring Secret Service agent, as had been claimed in a report Tester cited.

Jackson denied the allegations but ultimately withdrew his nomination.

Another test will be whether Trump's omnipresent national profile can squelch Democratic senators with strong local appeal and independent profiles like Tester, a farmer from the tiny north country township of Big Sandy who has his own populist brand, and West Virginia's Manchin, who has long surfed political waves that have swept his state to the right. "You deserve a senator who actually votes like he's from Montana", told the crowd after criticizing Tester at length.

Trump planned to rally supporters Thursday in Great Falls in a bid to boost the candidacy of state Auditor Matt Rosendale, the Republican challenger to Tester. The president has made the Montana race a priority as he hopes to help Republicans tighten the partys hold on the Senate. Trump blames Tester for derailing his nomination of White House physician Ronny Jackson to lead the VA.

Tester is one of 10 Senate Democrats running for re-election in states that Trump won in the 2016 election. He went public with multiple allegations of misconduct against Jackson. "If it's bad for Montana, he'll stand up to anyone", Tester spokesman Chris Meagher said.

"Jon Tester voted no on legislation to stop late-term abortions", Trump said to loud booing.

On Thursday night, President Donald Trump flew to Montana to headline a rally for Matt Rosendale, the Republican nominee against Sen. Once Air Force One landed, it was full speed ahead - and President Trump doesn't wait for the media.
