Real Madrid To Complete Thibaut Courtois Signing This Week

Kepa Arrizabalaga's world-record move to Chelsea made him the latest player to rake in a huge transfer bounty for Athletic Bilbao.

Real Madrid have offered Chelsea FC the chance to sign Mateo Kovacic as part of a deal for Thibaut Courtois, according to reporter Duncan Castles. "I'm just going to be myself and try to give my best to the club".

Real earlier this summer were interested in Belgium skipper Hazard, but the £300m price tag Chelsea put on him put a brake on that - and Chelsea are determined not to sell.

Following the news of Thibaut Courtois' imminent departure to Real Madrid, the Blues moved fast to secure the services of Kepa from Athletic Bilbao after courting the player for some time.

Courtois missed training with Chelsea in the days before his move to Real was sealed and he thanked the London club for helping him grow as a player but said he could not turn down the chance to play for Real. I think we had a good end to the season even if we didn't finish in the top four.

Kepa could make his Premier League debut against Huddersfield on Saturday after completing a deal that director Marina Granovskaia believes will be great for Chelsea.

Chelsea had to move quickly to find a goalkeeper after it became clear Courtois was determined to force through a £35m move to Real Madrid. While the £71m transfer fee may appear exorbitant, constituting a record fee for the club and a world record for a goalkeeper, it may not be as astronomical as first meets the eye. We've got a great squad and I hope I can help the team to keep winning things.

"In terms of the price, it's something I don't think about", Kepa said via a translator.

"I grew a lot physically in England and now I'm more mature and more experienced". "I find Sarri's style and ideas very attractive".

Kepa earning more than £190K-a-week at Chelsea is the true reflection of our desperation, rather than the transfer fee we paid for him.
