Round Three: Ocasio-Cortez backpedals on two-state solution comments

Ocasio-Cortez, who defeated 10-term incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley in New York's 14th District Democratic primary in June, acknowledged the $32.6 trillion cost of Sen.

"Just like catcalling, I don't owe a response to unsolicited requests from men with bad intentions", she wrote.

The conservative scrutiny on Ocasio-Cortez took a unusual turn this week when a popular conservative commentator and speaker, Ben Shapiro, challenged Ocasio-Cortez to a debate and offered to pay her campaign $10,000 in return. Ms. Ocasio-Cortez explained that these older representatives relied on a demographic that no longer exists. "And also like catcalling, for some reason they feel entitled to one". During his victory speech at Dow Diamond baseball field, Schuette said he's ready to take her on in the general.

If there were a debate, you could probably count on Shapiro, a prominent Israel defender, to challenge Ocasio-Cortez on her harsh criticism of Israel.

Shapiro, 34, a graduate of Harvard Law School, was an editor-at-large at Breitbart News before founding the Daily Wire, a conservative news and opinion website.

Finally, I'd be most pleased if she would indicate her willingness to meet with those who represent pro-Israel Jews (not those she has cited as "praising" her for her current stance).

Lewinsky, who knows from trouble and male attention, weighed in by calling Ocasio-Cortez a "badass".

Toward the end of the interview, host Margaret Hoover turned to the politician's foreign policy positions, referring to a controversial tweet she made during her campaign bid, and asking her what her position on Israel is. "What in the world does this have to do with her being a woman?" "I'm hoping that even if a candidate doesn't win in this cycle, they will have created gains for 2020, for 2022".

Corbin Trent, a spokesman for Ocasio-Cortez's campaign, declined to respond to Shapiro. Despite the mixed results, Ocasio-Cortez said she felt "really good" about the outcomes, describing the losses as a way to "move the needle forward" on the issues she prioritizes.

Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez's trip, and the enthusiastic receptions they received both in Kansas City and earlier in Wichita, seemed created to show that the same policies that have won the hearts of voters in Vermont and upturned a political machine in the Bronx and Queens can win in the Heartland, despite skepticism from centrist Democrats and mockery from conservative Republicans who think Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez are leading the Democratic Party to disappointment in November by dragging its national profile too far to the left. To her credit, she achieved this victory on a shoestring budget.

But Crowley, in his own Twitter post, said that there was no easy way to remove himself from the ballot.

"I'm here to tell you: right here right now, come November, the red wave is coming right through MI", he said.
