Samsung unveils new Note 9

With all its new upgrades, it certainly seems as though the Note 9 will be a big hit and Apple will need to pull out all the stops when they unveil the 2018 iPhone lineup we saw leaked by Tiger Mobiles last week.

The new Note phone is expected to be bigger, have more generous storage and tout improved camera performance in low light. Even though Samsung have previously explored using a stylus feature on their phones, the Note 9 S Pen takes this to a whole new level.

Samsung Electronics Co. on Friday announced its first artificial-intelligence speaker, the Galaxy Home, in a surprise move during the showcase event of the new Galaxy Note 9 smartphone.

The Galaxy Note 9 will house a 4,000mAh battery that the technology giant says will allow users to get a full day's battery life no matter how heavily they use it. It also comes as the smartphone industry has largely pushed the limits on hardware.

According to the company, Galaxy Note 9 is "the most powerful smartphone of all that she has ever released".

Since then, Samsung has subjected its phones to multiple inspections, including X-rays and stress tests at extreme temperatures.

The Galaxy Note is Samsung's larger flagship phone, which includes a built-in stylus - the S Pen - and on the Note 9 features a 6.4in Super AMOLED display.

"Following a recent slump in sales, Samsung will be looking to the Note 9 to revive its fortunes", he said.

The current Note 8 maxes out at 256 GB.

Thursday's announcement in NY precedes Apple's expected release of new iPhones by about a month.

Equipped with 6 powerful speakers and 8 microphones, Galaxy Home is a device created to offer a high-quality music experience and all the potential of Bixby, thanks to the ability to recognize the user's voice even when it is not near of the device. In recent years, numerous new features from Samsung and Apple have been incremental rather than revolutionary. The stylus can now act as a remote for clicking images and it also offers pressure sensitivity through the only switch: Short Press, Long Press, and Doubly Press. The Galaxy Note9, the Galaxy Watch, and the soon to come Galaxy Home.

Samsung also announced a new smartwatch and a partnership with Spotify meant to make it easier to switch music playback between phones, TVs and the company's new speaker.
