New Gmail feature to allow users to send 'confidential' emails

Confidential mode has been recently added to Gmail for Android, which is meant to help users protect sensitive information from unauthorized access.

Head over to the Gmail app on your mobile device.

Google has announced this morning that the feature has now gone live in the Gmail for Android app. When the Google Confidential Mode is activated, you can set an expiration date for the email.

The feature allows you to specify an expiration date or manually revoke access to a message. On the correct version-and/or if the switch has been flipped for you-when you send an email you'll get notification down at the bottom of the screen. You can even set a password for the emails you send.

This feature has been available with the desktop users since the previous year.

With this, let's say you're having to email a bunch of sensitive documents for a home purchase or a photo of a driver's license for some reason.

Google's huge Gmail update was uncovered this past April (with G Suite clients getting the principal look).

In addition, email marketers may use the confidential mode when sending short-term promotional offers. deadlines.

Tap the three-dots overflow menu situated at the top right corner. The recipient of an email with Gmail Confidentiality Mode activated won't be able to print or forward the message.

Through this mode, the emails that you send will be self destructed after sometime.

If a user sets an SMS passcode, he/she might need to give Google the recipient's phone number. At first, you can cancel the outgoing message before it's actually sent. For Gmail-to-Gmail emails, Google can pull them back. It is made possible by the mode as the sender can remove the options, which support forwarding, downloading, copying or printing the data. The users will not face any issue opening those messages.

Confidential mode for Android and iOS is rolling out now.
