Kavanaugh Hears First Arguments as New US Supreme Court Justice

Ford's allegations and the reported rise in sexual abuse claims come as the Trump administration is poised to release new Title IX policies concerning sexual misconduct on campus - policies that recognize the right of due process for those accused of sexual assault.

"You have to go back to 1880 to find the last time a Senate controlled by a party different from the president filled a vacancy on the Supreme Court that was created in the middle of a presidential election year", McConnell told "Fox News Sunday."

During the swearing-in ceremony at the White House on October 8, Trump apologized to Kavanaugh and his family "for the bad pain and suffering you have been forced to endure".
