Patrick Peterson requests trade from Cardinals, report says

Schefter added Peterson feels the situation with the 1-6 Cardinals is deteriorating and he continues to reaffirm he desperately wants out. The New Orleans Saints were identified as "an ideal trade destination" by Peterson himself, according to his cousin and former National Football League cornerback Bryant McFadden.

The asking price for Peterson would be expected to be a second- or third-round pick, considering his skill set makes his value worth a first-rounder.

This past offseason we all watched as general manager Dave Gettleman implemented his "win-now strategy" by signing Nate Solder, trading for Alec Ogletree and drafting Saquon Barkley.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Saints have already made a trade for a cornerback, acquiring New York Giants CB Eli Apple. The Saints, Eagles and Patriots have all reportedly contacted Arizona about a trade for the 28-year-old superstar in hopes that he can propel them to a Super Bowl berth.

Peterson has 2 interceptions and 35 tackles this season. With Schwartz not blitzing, it leaves his cornerbacks on an island and forces themselves to defend for an extended period of time. It would be best for them to field offers and only give away the dynamic defensive back for the one that truly blows their mind. Even though this hypothetical secondary combination sounds great, one does wonder what it would take to get Peterson?

It would be a risky move to make because Philly probably does not want to deplete their talent pool in the secondary.
