Kevin Stefanski heading to Cleveland for 2nd interview

"I heard the other day somebody say something about I wasn't ready to be a head coach".

Some names to consider that are now on the Browns offensive staff that could appear as the offensive coordinator include senior offensive assistant Al Saunders, wide receivers coach Adam Henry, and running backs coach Ryan Lindley; it has been announced that quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese will not return under Kitchens, eliminating him from the conversation.

Stefanski interviewed with the Cleveland Browns last Friday for their head coaching job and, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, Stefanski will get a second interview with the Browns.

Kitchens seems to be the fan favorite of the group for what he did with the teams' offense over the last eight weeks of the season when he took over for Todd Haley, who was sacked as offensive coordinator.

The Browns have had 10 different head coaches since the franchise reentered the National Football League in 1999, and two have been interim head coaches. Under him was Freddie Kitchens, who ascended to offensive coordinator. They ended the year 5-3 and scored below 20 points just twice - it happened four times in the first eight games under Haley.

Baker Mayfield pre-Freddie Kitchens as his OC: 130-of-223 (56.5%), 1,471 yards, 8 TD, 6 INT. The Browns finished the year with a 7-8-1 record, their best since 2007. He was promoted from defensive coordinator.

Names such as Gregg Williams and, as previously mentioned, Zampese have already been dismissed from the team, and as the Kitchens era has begun, many fans patiently wait to see what his first move will be as the head coach in Cleveland.

NFL Films produced a short feature on Kitchens a year ago, when he was with the Cardinals, calling him "The most selfless man in the NFL".
