Family kicked off American Airlines flight after passengers complain about body odor

On Wednesday night, a MI family - Jennie and Yossi Adler, along with their 19-month-old daughter - were escorted from their American Airlines flight from Miami to Detroit after some passengers made complaints about their body odour. However, they were surprised that they got kicked out of their American Airlines flight.

"All of a sudden, as soon as they took us off, they closed the gate and then they said, 'Sorry, sir, some people complained you had body odor and we're not letting you back on, '" Adler recalled.

American Airlines booted Yossi and Jennie Adler and their 19-month-old daughter from a Miami flight because of their alleged body odor. There's nothing wrong with us'.

Yossi and Jennie Adler said they were forced off a flight from Miami to Detroit on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019.

Adler said the airline had promised to take their luggage - including their auto seat and stroller - off the plane but it instead went to Detroit without them.

The person said, "Our team members took care of the family by providing overnight accommodations and meals and rebooking them for the next available flight". "I want them to own up to what really happened and to tell me the truth", Adler said.

Last year, American Airlines hit the headlines after a passenger was removed from a flight, also at Miami, because of the size of her cello, even though she had bought a seat for the instrument.

Annoyances on flights aren't new, but this sparks a bigger debate: At what level of inconvenience do airlines throw people off flights if they aren't a danger to the rest of the passengers?

American Airlines removed a family from a plane on Wednesday after passengers and crew members complained that one of the family members smelled bad.

The couple has since gotten a flight back home and said they hoped to find their belongings once in Detroit.

"As I go to the gate...they are all holding their nose, using paper to blow around their nose, you know pretending it smells", the man said.

"I'm like 'That is absurd, '" Alder told NBC News. But he feels employees of American Airlines were very disrespectful.

"I shower every day!"

The Adlers, an orthodox Jewish couple, insist they do not smell and claim they could have been removed due to their religion. He thought we don't take showers for that.
