PSG has approached Arsenal Player following Neymar's injury

The French champions say they have opted for a "conservative treatment".

Neymar was injured while playing against RC Strasbourg last Wednesday in the French Cup, rolling his ankle as he fell to the ground following a couple of challenges. The injury potentially also rules him out both legs of the quarterfinals in mid-April if PSG advances.

Depending on his recovery, the 26-year-old could be back in contention for a prospective Champions League quarter-final with the first leg on April 9/10 and the second leg a week later.

"Informed of this recommendation, Paris St Germain's Brazilian global striker agreed with this protocol".

PSG expect the Brazilian to miss the next 10 weeks and Thomas Tuchel is desperate for cover, with German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung claiming they have approached Ozil.

The club added: "Paris St-Germain sends its strongest support and encouragement to Neymar Jr to overcome this injury, with the courage and determination that the player has always shown".

It is not only the goals they are shipping, but the injuries have taken a toil for Unai Emery's men who have the third worst defensive record in the top ten.

Brazilian football star Neymar will be sidelined for 10 weeks as he pursues "conservative treatment" for a broken bone in his right foot, marking the second straight season that he has missed time with an injury to the same foot.

The 30-year-old World Cup victor has been on the periphery of the first-team picture under Unai Emery this season, with reports suggesting the new manager does not trust him in bigger, more physical contests.

The report suggests that PSG wanted to take the World Cup victor to the French capital as cover for injured star Neymar, but the German midfielder has turned the opportunity down.
