Ariana Grande Accuses Grammys Of 'Lying' About Why She's Not Performing

The 61st Annual Grammy Awards are broadcasting live from Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT on CBS.

The pop star apparently meant to showcase her new single, "7 Rings", but reportedly felt "insulted" when producers refused to let her play the song and later suggested she include the track in a medley instead.

The pop star has been nominated for two awards at the Grammys.

Grande went on to claim that she "offered 3 different songs" but didn't ultimately feel supported by the producers.

The same thing happened with Lorde at last years Grammys. "She felt like she was not being appreciated or respected as an artist so she has made a decision to skip the Grammys altogether", a source close to the 25-year-old singer told HollywoodLife.

In November, Grande released the single "thank u, next", which broke a number of streaming records and earned the singer her first No. 1 hit.

Along with Grande, it's been reported that Taylor Swift and Maroon 5 also won't be attending this year's Grammys. The singer took to Twitter to clap back, as they say, at the Grammys for saying that she wasn't willing to put in the work.

She's also sure to be hoping for success at the music awards - as she's up for five gongs.

They apparently gave her the option of singing 7 Rings as part of a medley.

A source close to the situation stated that these preconditions weren't enforced on any of the other performers - like Cardi B, Shawn Mendes and Miley Cyrus. Chances are, this will cause the Grammys to lose a lot of viewership, as Grande has a very adamant fan base.
