Pakistan's High Commissioner to India meets PM Imran Khan

"As many as 22 terrorist training camps, including nine of JeM [Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist group] are still being run in Pakistan and there has been no action against them", the official claimed, accusing Islamabad of being a "global epicentre of terrorism".

He said Pakistan should take concrete steps "against terrorists and terror infrastructure" on its territory. The prime minister said March 8, 2019 that no militant group would be allowed to operate on Pakistani soil and carry out attacks overseas.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's High Commissioner to India, Sohail Mahmood, is also expected to reach New Delhi on Saturday.

"Pakistan has banned many of these terrorist groups, including adding two more groups on March 5, but at the same time tolerates them operating within its own borders". The envoy took Prime Minister Khan's advice on Pak-India relations before he returned to his post in New Delhi, the Foreign Office said in a statement. They can further that goodwill by dismantling the terrorist networks that operate within Pakistan. "In an interview to CNN on February 28, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan said, and I quote "Well, he is (Masood Azhar) in Pakistan according to my information" unquote", he said.

"These actions are in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1267".

But Khan said there was a huge desire to build a peaceful and stable Pakistan.

Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Raveesh Kumar on Saturday said in a news briefing that Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Ajay Bisaria will return to Islamabad today.

India on February 26 staged an air raid on a camp inside Pakistan that it said belonged to JeM.

Amid soaring tensions between the two neighbouring countries, Pakistan had called back its high commissioner in India for consultations on Februray 18. Pakistan also detained the MiG-21 pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, who was handed over to India on Friday. As we have already said, there are eye-witness accounts and electronic evidence that Pakistan deployed F-16 aircraft and that one F-16 was shot down by Wing Commander Abhinandan.
