Serge Ibaka Fights Marquese Chriss as Raptors Face Cavs

Love agreed with a suggestion (via cleveland.com) that Cleveland's dominance over Toronto in recent playoff series might have been a factor, with Ibaka possibly releasing some pent-up frustration.

Ibaka initiated the contact in an incident that occurred with one second to go in the third quarter of what would become a 126-101 Cleveland home win. Love also was a force on the defensive end, drawing four offensive fouls.

Ibaka had eight points and seven rebounds in the loss.

Kawhi Leonard was one of just three Raptors in double-figures - netting 25 points in 30 minutes of work, going 11-of-19 from the floor, adding a team-high nine boards. Entering the final frame of the contest, the Cavs lead the Raptors, 91-77.

Toronto Raptors center Serge Ibaka and Cleveland Cavaliers forward Marquese Chriss were ejected from Monday night's game after getting into a physical altercation.

Footage showed Ibaka seemed to react to something said by Chriss, as he leapt up and grabbed him by the throat and aimed a punch at his head. The heave was off-target and flew over Ibaka and Chriss. From his own baseline, Toronto's Norman Powell tried to hit Ibaka with a long pass, but Ibaka fell to the floor as he and Chriss got tangled.

'I don't know. Words were exchanged. The lead grew to 108-88 on Osman's layup and free throw. However, Cleveland brought the intensity from the opening tip off, looking to take advantage of a Raptors team on the second night of a back-to-back, and the Raptors never fully found their energy.

Kyle Lowry scored 14 points for the Raptors. The big difference was turnovers; Toronto committed 11 to just two by Cleveland in the first half. The Cavaliers build the lead to 27 points late in the game.
