Trump tees up a health care fight with an uncertain outcome

After years of running away from his implementation, as MA governor, of a health care overhaul that helped inspire Obamacare, freshman Sen.

A federal judge on Thursday stuck down a Trump administration rule aimed at enabling millions of Americans to buy skimpy health insurance plans that do not comply with key Affordable Care Act requirements - part of administration efforts to chip away at the healthcare law.

Under the rule, businesses and individuals can team up to create group health plans that offer less expensive coverage without complying with numerous requirements of the Affordable Care Act. "So, without Tom a lot of people wouldn't have health insurance", Romney said in 2015. The senator complained, "If they were really working to build something that had legs, you would have thought there were some conversations prior to Tuesday, and there were none". We nearly did it but somebody unfortunately surprised us with thumbs down, but we'll do it a different way. "So we're going to get rid of Obamacare and I said it the other day: The Republican Party will become the party of great health care".

"Was this a good week for the Trump administration?"

White House officials were quick to tell CNN that Short had gotten ahead of White House deliberations. But with no clear GOP replacement plan, Mulvaney provided few details on how he could make such a guarantee.
